WOMEN-LED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Harnessing women’s undervalued capabilities, we unify and empower by building them up as “Dairy Godmothers,” the key drivers to community development. We equip and create livelihood opportunities where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

With responsible and conscious stewardship, Nature yields a treasure trove. Mother knows best, so we strive to live in harmony with her, generating bounty for many and for long. It’s pretty simple: we take care of Nature, Nature takes care of us.

FOOD AS NATURAL MEDICINE

Our dairy products are formulated to help the body grow, strengthen, protect and heal itself. We ascribe to the wise declarations of thought-leaders, starting with the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”

GOD-CENTERED VALUES

When hearts are not prepared, financial gains can become a source of strife. While we contribute to the community’s material prosperity, we help prepare them spiritually with fellowship, and a church partnership to milk-feed and minister to malnourished kids.

Key Partners in Community, Government and Private sector:

MAGCO ♡ PCC (Philippine Carabao Center) ♡ BPI Sinag ♡ Bayan Academy

While CalaBoo supports other smallholder farmers in Calabarzon, our immediate focus is building up our homegrown cooperative, MAGCO. It’s been a beleaguered samahan with torrid tales of greed gone awry in unscrupulous farmers and betrayal from the LGU who started with good intentions.

In lock-step with a handful of dedicated farmers, and now with some keen, hard-working women from DSWD’s 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program), we’re taking our collective baby steps towards productivity, self-sufficiency, sustainability and shared prosperity.

We honor PCC for their ever-present support, guidance and encouragement through the years. They broke ground in Magdalena, pioneering their Carabao-based Enterprise Development efforts over 10 years ago, and partnered with CalaBoo while we were still being incubated at GK Enchanted Farm in Bulacan.

Since 2018, when CalaBoo was invited to join their Accelerate program for social entrepreneurs, BPI Sinag of BPI Foundation has been a valuable cheerleader who walks the talk. Having won twice as Finalists, CalaBoo is grateful for BPI Sinag’s responsiveness to the evolving needs of SEs, providing relevant social, financial and intellectual resources from a place of authenticity and heart-felt desire to help.

BPI Sinag brought CalaBoo to the attention of Bayan Academy or to be exact, Bayan Academy for Social Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Development. As a non-profit focused on training and education in entrepreneurship and management, Bayan developed the MESEDEV (Master in Entrepreneurship in Social Enterprise Development) program offered by AGSB in which CalaBoo’s founder was accepted as a scholar. To this day, CalaBoo benefits from the guidance of this institution as we navigate through a better normal for nation-building.

Mabuhay ang mga magsasaka at magkakalabaw!

Help us support our kababayans!

Because our carabaos are owned by smallholder farmers, and we engage in milk-feeding and sharing the Gospel with hungry, displaced children, your patronage greatly contributes to the well-being of many.
